The St. Simons Library does a quarterly Novel/Movie Series where we show a classic film and discuss the novel it was based on.
This quarter we were doing "Hitchcock: Before and After Hollywood."
The films were
The 39 Steps
Dial M for Murder
Since the corona virus has confined most of us, we are going to be doing the discussion online. Come join us, any comments or suggestions are welcome.
You can read Joseph Conrad's novel, The Secret Agent, online or listen to it on audible. The film, Hitchcock's adaptation of The Secret Agent (Sabotage) can be watched online for free. Because the cinematography is so good, shop around for the best version. Some of the versions online are blurry, and you want to be able to appreciate the art of Bernard Knowles who is the cinematographer.
You can participate in a discussion on Facebook at "St.Simons Library Novel and Movie Series." If you would like to be on the Constant contact list, please email me at email@example.com. You can also follow us at cjjohns.com
