This is Diamond, a part Bengal cat at the Brunswick Humane Society. He is being held by a lovely young woman who attends Coastal College and studies Psychology.
Diamond lost an eye because of a tumor and he is highly territorial (as are most Bengals) but a really beautiful cat and sweet boy who loves being held and carried around on your shoulder. He needs to be in a one-cat home, but would make somebody a great cat. He's enormous.
I worked with Willis (aka Butterscotch) again yesterday. He hit and hissed, but not for nearly so long as Tuesday. And, he finally settled down and let me pet him for a long time. He gets backed in the corner of his cage so he can see anything coming at him and he is very upset at a hand approaching him from the front. The only time he came out of the corner was when a young child was in the visiting room. This puzzled me because I thought he would have hidden and hated the noise, but he didn't. I wonder if there was a child in his home before he was found. I hate it that he's having such a hard time. He needs a patient kitty parent to love him.
