Neal Getting Used to His New Home and Zachery's Seafood an Steaks

This is Neal, getting used to his new home.  We went on a long walk this morning.  Neal finally sprayed his territory (good move) to let all the other cats know that there were some cool new cats taking over.  "I spray, you stay away."

(Just a note.  If you have never seen the "I spray, you stay away" cat video you are missing out.  Just google "I spray, you stay away."

Now, back to the move.  Neal went down to the dock and marked it just so there wouldn't be any confusion.

He went out on the dock and gave it his inspection.  We saw six ducks and a fishing bird, but it was far away and I couldn't tell what it was.  I need to dig out the bird book.  No dolphins this morning.

We walked all over the perimeter of the two vacant lots next door that Neal thinks is his own private park.  So, all is well in kitty land.

We went to Zachery's last night.  Zachery's is a family owned business that used to be located on Jekyll Island (Jekyll Island is just south of St. Simons).
It is now located near Hwy 17 and I-95.  This is an unpretentious, down to earth restaurant that doesn't try to pretend to be anything it isn't.  It serves good food, well prepared at reasonable prices.  We had grilled shrimp which was just great and Cobia which was also god.  The hushpuppies are to die for, the best I've ever had.

The only problem we had was the Key Lime Pie.  This was a standard ice box pie that you could have bought at the supermarket.  We were a little disappointed, but as you can see,we scarfed it down without trouble.

Give Zachery's a try, especially that grilled shrimp.

Oh, and did I forget to mention a great atmosphere, friendly and with that personal touch.

Karen: Thanks so much. Neal's the love of my life. He's laying right up against my legs as I type. We get up early in the morning and come in the study and work. If I don't get up, he complains and makes me get up and work. I'm so glad you like the Writers' workshop. It's a pleasure to have you there.
