It's me, Little Neal. You won't believe what Mom and I found in the back yard. There was this little creature, just laying on the sidewalk. When we came up, he started moving and making this chirping sound.
Mom grabbed me and took me back inside, but I watched from the porch. She left him out there for a while hoping his mother would come back and get him, but his mom left him out there after all. He was all by himself. I told Mom we should phone PETA, but she said PETA didn't cover child rearing of raccoons.
Anyway, he smelled funny and couldn't really walk on his own.
But then, mom brought him inside. INSIDE OUR HOUSE. Jeeze, I didn't know he was going to become a lodger. That's a bit much.
Mom wouldn't let me go out on the porch with him. I just wanted a bite, one little bite. Is that too much to ask?
She never lets me do anything.
